Thoughts on Counselling, People & Everyday Life

This is a space where I’ll regularly share some of the things I’ve been thinking about, both as a counsellor and simply as a person interested in people and the way we live.

Some articles will explore counselling, psychotherapy and emotional wellbeing. Others might begin with something I’ve noticed, read, heard about or found myself questioning. That could mean writing about anxiety or relationships, but it might equally mean exploring our relationship with technology, pornography or gambling, the effects of the 24-hour news cycle, loneliness, or whether we’re losing some of our sense of community and connection.

These are my own reflections and musings rather than instructions about how anybody should think, feel or live. I won’t necessarily have all the answers either. Sometimes I think asking a good question and looking at something from a different perspective can be valuable in itself.

I’ll be adding new thoughts and articles regularly, so feel free to check back from time to time and see what’s been on my mind.
